On the 29th June 2010 Keith and I travelled to New York State to judge the "Ponies on the Hudson" show.  The Hudson Valley is very beautiful and the people charming.  The three day show took place in temperatures over 90 degrees but ponies and people managed very well.  I had a wonderful time judging a great variety of ponies and meeting some fun and interesting people.

On the 18th June 2010 I travelled with Fran Jackson-Edwards to Denmark to Judge at Fynsk Show.  I had a fun and interesting time judging some very nice ponies. My eventual Champion was Pendock Bellavista a delightful dapple grey mare who I would have gladly taken home with me.

A big thank you to Gareth and Mavis Parry for kindly allowing us have "Buster" for the first part of the season.  He is in every way a true gentleman and a pleasure to have around the place.  We eagerly await his foals next year.

Cwmhendy Buster going home!

It is with great sadness that we put Tame Valley Tara to sleep on 17th June, 2009

We were horrified when the next day we found Bengad Rosita very ill in the field, later that day we had to put her to sleep also.  Both of these ponies have been a large part of our lives for many years and will be greatly missed.

Tamevalley Sarabande has been sold to Sue-Ellen Lee of the Adien Stud. Wishing Sue-Ellen every success for next season.

TAME VALLEY SAHARA  has been visiting this summer on stud duties and he did not put a foot (or anything else) wrong.   We are looking forward to the first Sahara foals next season.  Thank you Sharon for letting me use him and also for all you help, we appreciated it.

Congratulations to Mrs Parr and her team for again qualifying TAME VALLEY BLACKJACK  (Barbarella's full brother) for HOYS.  We will be cheering from the wings.

Congratulations also go to Shelley Dobbs who purchased TAME VALLEY CASABLANCA  from us last year as a foal.  He is continuing his winning ways by winning the Cremello Championship at DERBY/NOTTS Charity Show.  The week prior to that he was 2nd in a very good class of yearling colts at Midlands WPCA Silver Medal Show where he looked fantastic.  Well done, Shelley.

TAME VALLEY SERENA finished her brilliant season with a 6th place  (Yearling filly) at The Royal Welsh and at her final show she won the yearling filly class and went Champion Sec A + WPCS Medal.   (West Yorkshire WPCA) .   Congratulations to Sharon.and Margaret not forgetting Gran.

2006

Try as I might I haven’t got into the hang of keeping my web site up to date, but having had several comments that my web site never changes I am going to try to get into good habits.

We had six foals in 2006, all fit and healthy and all but one has been sold, of those sold all except one went from home.  They were a very nice bunch of foals all with kind temperaments but lots of good Tame Valley attitude, as Adam Fletcher was heard to say at Fayre Oaks  “there is nothing tame about Tame Valley”!!!!!

During the season we went to a few shows, but with holidays and private commitments we didn’t do quite as much showing as we would have liked.

The yearling filly Tame Valley Seren Arian won Leicester County, Lincoln County and Midland Counties, 2nd NWWPCA Silver Medal Show and 3rd Newark & Notts.

The 3yr old filly Tame Valley Tamara won Midland Counties, Lincoln County and NWWPCA Silver Medal Show, 2nd & Res Female Champion Royal of England  and 3rd at Stafford County.

Our show mares Tame Valley Rowan and Tame Valley Sarabande both had big  foals on them and we really never got them into show condition. We did take Sarabande to Cheshire County, where in a large class she came 3rd and although she went well we really felt that she needed more condition.   Hopefully next year we will get it right.

Tame Valley Sahara (owned by Sharon Scott) and produced by Colin Tibbey  had a good season. He looked wonderful at the Three Counties show where he won and went to the Royal Welsh with our fingers crossed for him and Sharon,  when he came into the ring he really did bring a lump to my throat, he is a very glamorous pony and went well, 2nd place was very creditable.

Tame Valley Blackjack 4yr old gelding came out this season and at his first attempt qualified for Horse of the Year Show. Well done to all concerned.

Blackjacks full sister Tame Valley Barbarella (by Pendock Legend out of Tame Valley Belladonna) is coming out next season and we have high hopes that this lovely filly will do well.

We only bred two filly foals this year one out of Cledwyn Seren Dlws, sister of Sahara and Seren Arian. She has been sold to Margaret Smith and her daughter Sharon, they had to twist our arms because we really liked her (and we may yet live to regret it) but we are sure that they will show her beautifully and hopefully breed lots of good foals out of her.

The other filly which we have retained is out of Tame Valley Sarabande by Tame Valley Viking, we think the combination has worked but only time will tell.

Visitors are very welcome but please phone first.
